The Plan

2:30pm guest arrival

Please take your seats as we exchange vows and officially become husband and wife.

3:30pm Garden Party

Join us for a relaxed garden party with drinks, canapés, and time to mingle while we sneak away briefly for photos.

6:00PM Reception

Join us for dinner, drinks and dancing.

11:00pm Farewell

As the music winds down and the final drinks are poured, we’ll bring the evening to a close. As Tahlia's Pop always used to say when hosting "I always wash my feet before bed, and I'm off to wash them now". Thank you for celebrating such a special day with us. Goodnight.

Faqs
But what do I wear?

Our dress code is “garden party cocktail”. We request gentlemen wear suits or blazers (ties optional) and ladies wear mid calf or longer dresses.
In March, temperatures range from 27-16 degrees, and the average temperature for our ceremony time is 23 degrees.

Are my children invited?

While we truly cherish your little ones, we kindly request that this celebration be adults-only. The only exceptions are infants under 12 months of age and our nephews, Stanley and Cooper. We appreciate that some guests may be travelling with children, and we would be happy to assist with finding local babysitters if needed.

Can I bring a plus one?

We wish we could invite everyone, but to keep things intimate, we are only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation.

Did you accidentally put a recipe card in my invite?

Nope! We’re skipping the guestbook and inviting you to share a favourite recipe (and maybe a little love note) instead—something we will use and treasure for years to come. Participation is optional—extra cards will be available, and stencils will be on hand for all the doctors.

Where should we eat the night before/morning of/next day?

The day after; take part in a true Toowoomba tradition—deciding whether Super Rooster or Cracker Jack Chicken reigns supreme. And if you go to KFC or Hungry Jack’s, don’t tell us because we’ll be very disappointed.

Bakeries; The Baker’s Duck (Pastries & Coffee), The Twisted Loaf (Pies & Sanga’s), Anne Bakery (Rice Paper Rolls & Bahn Mi).

Cafes; The Copper Bench, Burrow, Ortem, The Finch, The Other Bird, Sweet Talk, 95 Mary Street, Sage & Butler.

Restaurants; Piccolo Papa (Italian), Fritz (Also Italian), Everest Spice (Indian), Loulaki (Mediterranean), Kuro Beko (Japanese), Nahm (Thai), Thai on Ruthven (you can probably guess), Char House (Steak).

What will the weather be like?

Try as she might, Tahlia still hasn’t mastered seeing the future. In March, temperatures range from 27-16 degrees, and the average temperature for our ceremony time is 23 degrees. If it does rain, brollies will be available on the day. Gabbinbar also has a wet weather plan in place with undercover areas for both the ceremony and reception, so there’s no need to panic.

A note on gifts

Your presence on our special day is the greatest gift of all. No gifts are needed or expected. However, we have been asked if there is anything we would like to start our married life together so we have created a wedding registry or will be (located on the top left of this page). If this is not your style a wishing well will Bee there on the day
